Graduated with BSc. degree of Computer Engineering, MSc. degree of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Honors & Awards:
· PhD Scholarship: from the University of Aucklnad
· Best Paper Award: for my publication at IEEE International Conference of SENSORCOMM07, 2007.
· Akira Nakamura Award 2011 and 2014: winner of the award and grant for being the lead author of two publications in CVPR 2014 and CAIP 2011, as top conferences in my field.
· Marsden Fund 2012: in final round of the most competivie national research fund, provided by the Royal Society of New Zealand.
· Spark $100,000 Qualifiers Award 2011: Winner of the qualifiers challenge and one of the finalists of $100K grand prize, based on my PhD research proposal. Spark is New Zealand premier academic to business competition, organized by the University of Auckland.
· Leadership: team leader and founder of IntelliEye project in a group of 6 PhD and Master students.
· Spark Ideas Challenge Award: winner of the prize, and the selected winner by UniServices.
· Teacher of the Year: at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Qazvin University, 2009.
· Ranked 7th: in nationwide University entrance exam for Master degree, 2001.
