SITA (Society of Information Theory and its Applications) supports participants through funds of SITA. Please note that this support is aimed principally at students and scientists from countries that are experiencing serious economic hardship. This financial support and the IEEE IT Society Japan Chapter Travel Support Award are independent projects. Therefore, if you wish, you can apply for both of them. However, the winner of the IEEE IT Society Japan Chapter Travel Support Award is excluded from the recipients of this financial support.

The IEEE Information Theory Society Japan Chapter sponsors a travel support award for young researchers who have their residence in JAPAN and will present their research at ISITA2008. Further details are announced through the home page of IEEE IT Society Japan Chapter.
