The Kepler Track is a 3-4 day, 68km round track starting at Lake Te Anau.
The huts on the track are pure luxury and the track itsel
is in excellent condition avoiding any steep climbs
(may I say suitable for wheelchairs?).
Although officially rated as medium the track is in good weather
definitely easy and can be walked by fit trampers in 2 days.
The crossing on the ridge below Mt.Luxmore (1471m) is however
a little bit tough in bad weather.
Unfortunately I took mainly slides on this track, so
pictures of some of the best parts, as for example the Hanging Valley
and Lake Manapouri, are missing.
Brod Bay on Lake Te Anau is a perfect spot for a late breakfast.
View of Luxmore hut (1085m) and Te Anau.
The Luxmore caves, close to the Luxmore hut,
have plenty of narrow arms and people are said
to have been lost in them.
You also might come across a big (harmless) cave spider here!
